Farm Dog offers a Fair Billing Policy because we know that your work and team can change drastically month to month. With the Fair Billing Policy, you only pay for members that are actively using Farm Dog.
Summary
- When you upgrade to a Professionals subscription, you will only be charged for active team members.
- If all members become inactive, you'll be charged for a minimum of one member, unless you decide to cancel your subscription and downgrade to the free version of Farm Dog.
- Fair billing calculations and any changes to the number of active team members will be reflected in your billing statement.
Adding new members to a team
- If you have a Professionals subscription and add new members partway through the billing cycle, we'll only charge for the time that the team member was part of the team.
Here's an example:
You have a Professionals subscription and you're paying monthly - $44.99 per member per month. You hire a summer intern 10 days into your billing period and there are 20 days remaining in the month.
We calculate the prorated subscription cost by dividing the cost per team member ($44.99) by the number of days in the month (30) and multiplying by the number of days remaining (20). This gives us a prorated subscription cost of $29.99.
How inactive team members affect your billing
Farm Dog will automatically detect you your team members become inactive. If that happens, we'll add prorated credits to your Farm Dog account and they'll be applied when new team members are added. These credits have no currency or exchange value, are non-transferable and non-refundable, and will expire following the termination of your subscription with Farm Dog.
Here's an example:
You have a Professionals subscription and you're paying monthly - $44.99 per member per month. A member becomes inactive 15 days into your billing period.
We calculate the prorated credit amount by dividing the cost of the member ($44.99) by the number of days in the month (30) and multiplying by the number of days that team member used Farm Dog (15). This gives us a prorated amount of $22.50.
